Tallbo 20W has a similar area to the popular Tallbo 20, but is 5m wide compared to 4m, and has an internal depth of 3m. Being wider, the roof and the internal ceiling are correspondingly higher, so Tallbo 20W feels larger and more airy. The windows are larger than the Tallbo 20 at 1m high compared to 800mm.
Tallbo 20W is available in two variants for the same price. It can be ordered either with a terrace, and with a single door and 1m high windows, or it can be ordered without a terrace, but with double doors and 1.2m high windows.
he Tallbo is a beautifully made Swedish log cabin ideal for use as a garden office, play room, guest accommodation, or in its larger configurations as a home. It is made from 58mm pine logs from sustainable forests grown close to the Arctic Circle. Arctic pine is slow growing so it is close grained and denser than logs grown further South.
The Tallbo is designed to be warm in winter and cool in summer. It is glass double glazed throughout. The 58mm logs it is made from are considerably thicker than competing products in the same price range, and provide excellent heat insulation, but in addition Tallbo cabins may be fitted with an optional insulation pack which increases the wall thickness with 120mm of insulation (mineral wool, sheeps fleece, or hemp fibre), and 15mm of interior wall cladding which may be pine, gypsum board or particle board.
When fitted with the insulation pack a Tallbo log cabin is suitable for living in through the depths of a Swedish winter where the temperatures are often lower than -40 degrees Celsius.
Even without the insulation pack the Tallbo will be warmer than competing cabins thanks to its blind floor which provides a cavity beneath the floor to accept 120mm of insulation, and its suspended pine ceiling which provides a space for insulation in the roof.
As standard Tallbo log cabins are provided with hard wearing mineral felt over a tongue and grooved wooden roof. If you wish for the roof to have a traditional tiled appearance we can supply 'Plannja' tile effect roofing sheets to fit on top of the felt roof. Plannja roofing is considerably cheaper and easier to fit than conventional roof tiles, and is widely used throughout Europe for roofing houses. Alternatively you may choose to fit your own tiles. The Tallbo roof is strong enough to support 300kg per square metre and can support any tiles you choose, or even a turf roof. Contact us for pricing for a turf roof for your Tallbo.
